Game 318397

SirLoseALot's Fritz7 vs. My Chess Master 9000.

We have played 2 games now, both are draws. (Waiting for SirLoseALot to take the draw... we agree it is a draw but I just made the final move (I think))

Here is the first game:

Game 277278

Now F7 and CM9K will play another game, SirLoseALot will pick color and an open we will play, and we'll see if we can get one of these programs to win a game.

Stay tuned.

BTW: What amount of time and computational power are you throwing at these moves?

seems odd that a computer would start with d4 when the strongest move is e4

You guys must be joking. Allmost half of the legal moves for white at the start of a game are perfectly sound.

I chose to have fritz play the Budapest defense.Even though it doesn't like it and says it's total nonsense 😛

We're having the comps 'think' for 15 minutes on each move.
Fritz7 runs on an intel pentium 4 1.60Ghz and 256 MB RAM.

CM9K is thinking 900 seconds (15 mins) and is set to think 11 moves deep. Not sure that matters but it is the option I have set.

CM9K is running on a 1 Gig Duron with 512 K Ram...

Game 400057 (Move 4 (and 5) White)

That is the new game. Both of us are a bit surprised CM9K has not done a Nf3 yet.... CM9K better not play for a draw!
