Hi, two things;
1) The Morra gambit is tricky to me, can anyone offer advice?
2) It says at the top rated. Is it?

This thread Thread 81704 has a discussion of some ideas on the Morra gambit. It also has an annotated game by me in it. I'm not so sure anout the quality of my annotation but it seems obvious that the quality of the discussion that followed was very good.

If you face the Morra gambit on a blitz game and you don't have your ideas well sorted out it can be an uphill battle for a long time, but I think that you if you keep your cool and have some experience from previous slower games you can make it.

Thanks! I always like to play the Morra against the Sicilian OTB. It shakes so many people up.

Any advice on how I'm playing? I feel a bit weakened and cramped...

I've played the Smith-Morra for years in OTB & I have always felt comfortable in the positions. Also always had good results but, on internet Chess, I always have uphill battles & difficult positions 🙁
