I have been on this site nearly 5 years and just had my longest game ever!
110 moves against a player ranked well over 500 points higher than me, and i am happy to say i won the game (one for the underdogs!) 🙄
Anyone beat that number of moves?

Who's got the shortest?
Who's got two queens in less than 7 moves?

Try this one for size - 111 moves for the hardest draw I ever made, not to say one of the most fortunate. But it pays to know one's endings. First, White cannot win my B for his e-pawn because his own B is the 'wrong colour' for his h-pawn; therefore, draw. Second, if White's pawn was on any other dark square on the 7th, I'd lose because I'd not have room to swing my bishop from diagonal to diagonal. Also, earlier, White needed to keep the Rooks on.

I was on the ropes whilst all the pieces were on the board and ended up playing the game effectively a piece down.

Originally posted by Essex 3Just my thoughts on this game, 57. Kd3 was terrible. If 57. b6, to go on to queen at move 59 (and blacks passed pawn is only at f2), 60. Qb3+ ... Kg2, 61. Qc2 and next move sac the queen for the pawn, cant force a mate without stalemate because its a bishop pawn. Then queen the d pawn and black has no chance.
