Ugh, a 12 hour stint at work and trying to think chess. Nah! But - please, post here your most morphyesque games! I expect to see central pawns out two squares, simple and quick development, early castling (or Kf1(f8), open lines, deflections, pins, skewers and forks.
If its 50 moves no. If the first surprise is with heavy pieces off no. Open games preferred. What you got!?

That was a really nice one!

Here is a so so 3 minute game from yesterday.

    I was black.

    7. ... Qe7 was a terrible mistake by me. Luckily, something good came from it.
I felt like 9. ... g5 was necessary to get the fire started after my opening blunder.

This was a fun game. Probably not sound at all but I felt pretty Morphyesque with the 16 Rae1 and 17 Re3

I'm never Morphyesque - but if I showed my closest ones...this would be one of them.

That game is very nice, and I think it's sound too.

I probably could have looked at the board for an hour without coming up with the idea of Rae1 🙄

I am disqualified from this thread as white since I only ever open with 1. f4 and Morphy has very few Birds Opening games (none of which are that great)

Here is a nice one as black with a two piece + pawn sacrifice

No disqualifications handed out here. And here is this, for inspiration.

Morphy did play the Bird, if that's what you mean. They were odds games though.

Search Morphy and ECO Code 000. That brings up ALL his odds games.

Search Morphy Thompson 000 to get 3 Birds by Morphy.

    Here is a miniature:
