Poor old tequila, he is not only going to lose alot of points to you but, judging by the position he has against patrick, he wont get through this round of the tournament either.

Elegent...saccing the knight instead of capturing the forked rook...I just don't think I could have seen past the nabbing the rook to look for other lines...nice one.

    Its very nice!

One question though - what happens after 25 ... Rxc6 instead of taking your rook back immediately? This looks like it can get very messy for black.

    Oops sorry - I meant 24 Rxc6, instead of 24 gxh4.

    e.g. 24 Rxc6 bc6 25. gxh4 f3 26. Qe4 Qxh4 27. Qxc6 Qh3 28. Qb4+ and I couldn't figure out whether white got perpetual check without spending more time analyzing.

I think black is still on top, but I'm not sure its as clear.

I haven't looked at it all that closely, but the immediate 24...f6 looks pretty deadly to me.

    Oops. ...f3.

I do that all the time.

I agree with you. After the sac, I don't see how white stops the mate on h1.

What I like the best about this game is that he played the English , which is usually notorious for slow materialistic play with white avoiding any risks - you are a credit to attacking players everywhere.
