28 Re1! not Re1?Yesterday I posted about my upcoming tourney. I won the game!! Here's the moves. Comments are welcome. I decided to try the Bird opening.
Exkorn (1194),Ruderman(1450)
1.f4/g6
2. Nf3/Bg7
3. e3/d6
4.Bd3/Nf6
I don't know enough about the bird to know if this is a standard opening line or not
5. 0-0/0-0
6. c3/c5
7.Bc2/Nc6
8.d3/e5...I want to open for an attack on the Kingside but I didn't want to create a hole on my queen side
9. e4/Bb6...a line on my King
10. fxe/dxe I'm happy w/ the exchange opening the file for my rook
11.b3/Ng4....I want to move my bishop to e3 w/o losing the b pawn but she stops that and puts me in a position that I find to be very tricky
12.h3?/c4+...even after thinking it through for what must have been 5 minutes I decided I could get away w/ pushing the pawn thinking I had d4 sufficiently covered and not counting her g7 bishop!
13.d4/Nf6?? (what about ...pxp 14.pxp/Nxp 15.pxN/NxN+ 16.Kh8/BxR 17.Nc3...)
14.Be3/exd ...now I'm looking at her queen w/ my bishop
15.cxd/Nb4 ...are 2 connected passed pawns an issue this early in the game?
16.e5/Nd5...now I'm really opening up on the Kingside
17.Bf2/NxB
18.QxN/cxb
19.axb/Bf5...here I though a while how to take the b pawn back and decided to open the file for my rook
20.Qc4/Be3
21.Nc3/Rc8?? here she lost a piece as opposed to21... NxN
22.NxN/BxN
23.QxB/Qb4 ***here she touched the queen and changed her mind I think she was going to Rfd8 but I made here move the queen***
24 Ra4/qB6
25 b4?/Rfd8...here I probably should have moved Rfe1 but it worked out for the better
26Qb3/Qc6?...I don't know why she did this
27b5/Qe4?
28 Re1?/Qf5 obvious, but a good move none the less. I'm looking to trade queens at this point.
29 e6/fxe
30 Qxe+/QxQ
31 RxQ/Rc1+
32 Re1/ Rc2...again looking to trade down material
33 Rxa7/ Rb2? does her no good
34 Rxb7/Rb4...she's starting to flounder
35 Re7!/Rb1+
36 Kh2/Bf6
37 Rxh7/Rb2
38 Rhd7?/RxR...I should have protected my Bishop w/ Kg3
39RxR/RxB
40b6/Rb2
41b7/Rb6? she's in a tough spot now
42Rc7...resign
1-0
What a blast!
Just a couple errors I was able to get past.. Like calling out "What Rook" and the mistake someone else found with the Bishop. Here is your line as it can be pasted into a PGN app.

Black moving Bd8 rather than resigning can make the game go on for some time I think... the pawn will be traded for the Bishop... rather than a new Queen. Yes, this was a great win!

Ah ha! That's a better move since it pins to Queen.... Cool.
Again, good work!
