next time you play him, work out when he's going on vacation and then time him out.

Ok,kiddies,if you're all thru laughing here.... Shafty,you made quite a few mistakes. First was playing a QP opening. At your level you should stick to the open games,learning how to develop,co-ordinate your pieces,tactics,combos,and attacks. You played way too many pawn moves at the expense of your development. Losing a pawn at move 4 was bad,when he played 2...e5?,you should have played 3.dxe5,and if he answers 3...dxe5,you then trade Q's,costing him his right to castle.
