I'm not keen on The Dynamic English - for what it contains, it's useful, but the English is far too complex to be comprehended by what is basically an extended pamphlet, and it has quite a few holes. The symmetrical alone deserves its own book (and has a few, of course).

which books would you reccomend then?

no bookn can cover 1 opening we know that just like the ruy lopez, sicilian and queens gambit. of course its too complicated to do that. but it gives you move variations which you have to memorize and also it gives you the plans and EXAMPLES on how to go about them through master games.
