I've played seriously for about a year. I'm a 1300-1400 on ICC. I need to improve all facets of my game, opening, mid game, ending, you name it.

Whats the best path of study. Also I find GM games pretty intresting but should studying famous games be last on my chess to do list?

Tactics tactics and more tactics. Also study endgames and midgame but don't spend to much time on openings. Old master games are great to go over especially if they are annotated.

I got a thread in the chess forum called, Need help getting to 1400?. It's on page 1 right now half way down.

Page 2 of that thread might help you, depending on how good you are.
