You gotta remember that once your rating passes 2100 you can't score as many points for a single game. Therefore I believe that even if Akizy loses one and draws the other game he will still be the top player on the site, though it will be much closer.

Really, I didn't know that. So how does the rating system work for people rated over 2100? Is it only half points instead?
edit - I just checked... akizy will move to second but barely
(2 points?), he'll make it up eventually too I'd bet.
And all this is assuming akizy loses that one game...

i think your max is 24 instead of 32 meaning if akizy loses to #2 he only loses like 14 points... meaning it's much closer but not a takeover. Add 2 on each side for the draw and I think it's about equal.
edit - I just checked... akizy will move to second but barely

So why does the rating system change as you get to higher ratings?
