how do you say check in notation? and mate?
for check, follow up the move with +, for example, Knight takes on d5 check = Nxd5+some people notate double check as ++ eg. Knight to f3 double check = Nf3++mate is the same concept, but with # instead of +eg. Knight f7 mate = Nf7#
Check is notified with a "+" eg. 34. Qh3+ Kg1 Translating this notation, on move 34 the white queen moves to h3 giving check the black king moves to g1 to esape.Mate is noted with with a "#" eg. 34. Qh3#
