No mouse slips or having a computer to stop and start your
clock for you. This is proper blitz.
Played OTB, eye to eye, 5 minutes each after a few jars by both sides.
Me and Mickey Rattray (2000)+ something had a long session with
a baying crowd of onlookers cheering on every game.
Nobody else wanted to play, they just enjoyed watching us two
ripping and saccing each other to pieces.
(to be honest Mickey was doing ripping, I was doing the saccing.)
Eventually I did get one. (law of averages).
Here is a toe to toe slugfest that was actually printed in the
Scotsman newspaper on the 23rd December 2006.
(Come on now ladies, how many of you have had a blitz game
published in a national newspaper?).
Next time you are going to play a blitz session, open up this thread
and rub your finger against my avatar and some of the greenpawn
luck I had in this game might just rub off onto you.
(the tactical skill to pull this kind of thing off, you will have to work at) 😉
I'm Black. Just enjoy and try to emulate.

We get a gem here, a gem there.
Sometimes there hidden in a blog.
Sometimes there in the middle of some obscure thread.
Occasionally, we get one advertised.
When do we get to see THE COMPLETE GAMES OF GEOFF CHANDLER or at the very least a smaller collection with the best games.
One every couple of months just isn't enough.
Give me a thread with at least ten of them.
I don't want internet games.
I want classic retro games with nice swindles or tactics from the 70s or 80s.

Yes. I'm a cunning little rascal when I want to be.
Great this style of chess. You play 10 games saccing like a nutcase and
lose 9 but the one win gets a round of applause and ends up getting published.
It's not much fun for my opponents. When I've sacced my last piece
I resign, set up the sides and start saccing again till I get lucky.
(we would have been there all night till I won one).
