August 2026: Returning after 6 months off site and entering the long winter sunset of later life. I have been making chess moves since about 1965 and played at club and county level until 2015. These days it's strictly casual as there is no formal club where I now live anyway. I'm typically on here two or three times each day, possibly more if it's raining in the Welsh Marches. I tend to prefer quicker games to catch the mood of the haiku above. All the best.
