open invites

Why don't the better players post more games to the "open invites" list?
I'm currently 2068.
I was 2220, but stuff happens.
1700's using a program.

I'm playing people in "tournaments" that are rated in the 1500's.
If I win I get 0 points, if I lose, I lose 20/25 points gained 3 or 4 at a time.

I "challenge good players", I get a reply, "I only play in tournaments".

Why don't the players rated over 2000, just start playing each other, and leave the weenies alone.

Or maybe it is because they do not want to lose their rating, that means nothing.

91 games isn't enough for ya?? Some of us can't shred so many opponents at one time. And if you think the rating "means nothing", why do you care sooooooooooooo much about risking 20-25 utterly meaningless points?

join a clan, get some games with 2000-2200 players then leave or make yourself unavailable for challenges until you want some more games.

I'd accept them but you've ignored me. What's with that?

Maybe you didn't PM her before challenging her to a game. After all, you set me to ignore for that.

I think you answered your own question. They are probably terrified of being ambushed by some points-hungry cheat.

it's pretty much impossible to be only 1700 using a program... if someone is, they're doing it so wrong it hurts to even think about it.

maybe you should request more tournaments for 2000+?

not accepting challenges sounds very odd indeed. you'd think all higher rated players suffered from the same lack of strong opponents...

Join a Clan if you want High rated opponents. You'll ALWAYS have someone at your level playing in a team....

EDIT: Oh yeh, i've been meaning to ask you... On my travels i cam across this game Game 1625906. Why did you resign? It's a draw, there is no way to Queen the pawn as long as the white rook remains on theg-file, no?

Except that KPK endings with an a or h file pawn are drawn (discounting the obviously won positions with the weaker king cutoff from the promotion square already).

Rh6 and the king is still trapped, i can't find a way he can get out of the way of the pawn...
