Game 1760369 offers an example of how I prefer to play. Play the opening for a slight advantage, and then slowly nurse that advantage into the full point.

Looked like you had to work hard for that one. I like straight forward simple games. Not those crazy positions with pieces hanging all over and the pieces aren't co-ordinated etc...

Nice calm positions with some tactics now and then.

What about trying out the Danish gambit? I'm not sure who is better in that, some say white, some say black.

1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3.c3 dxc3 4.Bc4 cxb2 5.Bxb2 d5! 6.Bxd5 Nf6 7.Bxf7+ Kxf7 8.Qxd8 Bd4+! 9.Qd2 Bxd2 10.Nxd2

I'm still not sure who is better here. White's kingside pawn majority can definetly move quickly. Black's queenside pawn majority is more promising but takes longer to get going.

From opening to endgame in 10 moves 🙂 I know there are lots of pieces on the board still.

A man of my own heart. I love playing the danish gambit; a nice open position and not having to go crazy thinking about 17 different pieces your opponant could take and what the implications of each of those captures could be.

Why capture with the queen on move 32?

I thought it was a neat opening but I don't play it. I tried it several times in blitz but for serious play I think its to easy for black to equalize and doesn't give white much prospect as long as black gets past the opening. d5! must be played by black and then everything is good.
