CC GMs can hold their own against anyone, but the top few OTB GMs might have a chance against the top CC GMs.

They are NOT referring to any old GM.
They are referring to superduper GMs ('top man-computer teams'😉such as Kasparov or Anand.

Do you think the top OTB GMs woud beat the top CC players at their own game?

This is the last time i'm going to answer on here then i'm done... I never heard of a CC GM before... and if he can be a CC GM why can't he be a normal GM anyways....

U also wrote that Don't underestimate top CC players - many of them would be top GMS if it were not for factors such as poor remuneration, bad nerves, etc.

OtB GM's don't have these problems and are at the top of their game... Now if they are both playing CC who would win? The OTB GM with no such condition and healthy or the CC guy with those conditions and not as healthy.....U specifically wrote TOP GM's and i am talking about the top gm being kasp and anand....They obvsiously understand the chess position better then any other player including any CC player.... And since there is not real time factor in CC play they would be so much stronger.... Think about this... Kasp at the normal time is so hard ot beat and if he was playing cc and had infinite time like CC give u...hours and hours he possibly could not be beat...

so to answer u're question of..... Do you think the top OTB GMs would beat the top CC players at their own game?

Yes the TOP OTB GM"S would beat the top CC players in CC...
K i'm done with this post now.... theres no need to discuss this any further...

If you have never heard of CC GMs then this is probably a good idea.

Joop Van Oosterom was born in Holland on December 12th, 1937, five days after Max Euwe lost the world title. His first notable success at chess occured in April of 1955, when he became the Dutch Youth Champion in Enschede. However, financial and professional interests would soon separate him from competitive chess for many decades.

In 1966, two ex-IBM employees, Oosterom and J. C. Mol, founded the Automation Center Volmac, the first Dutch software company. In 1988 Volmac went public and Oosterom and Van Mol became multi-millionaires, obtaining cash and stock for their stake in the company. According to Dutch financial magazine "Quote 500," Oosterom's wealth is currently estimated in excess of $1 billion Euros.

In the early 1980s Oosterom was secure enough to devote attention to his first love. He played in a number of correspondence events, including winning the Three-Quarter-Final Candidates section of the 14th World Championship which began November 1987, and was awarded the CC-IM title as a result. In February of 2005, Oosterom achieved his lifelong goal as he became the 18th World Chess Correspondence Champion.
