Would any kind hearted soul with a rating, say, above 1700 be prepared to play me on an unrated game where tuition and comments would be given on a move by move basis?

Look to the left. You will see "Total recs" under each persons name. Under each post, you also will see a link called "recommend"...

Edit: tuition is what you pay to go to school, is that what you meant? or did you mean tutoring?

Both books explain each move of the game starting with move 1.

Chess: the logical_______ has new games around from around 2000 with gm's such as anand, kasp., topolav etc...

Logical _______ has games from before 1990's.
