Pawn Promotions help

It might be a stupid question but if you have pawn promoted into a queen can you get a second queen from a second pawn or do you have to get something else.

You can promote your next pawn to a queen.

So... If you could somehow manage it you could have a total of 9 queens. I think it's a common misconception that only a piece the opponent has taken is what you get back.
