PAWN RIOT vs The Forum Move 39

This is a continuation of Thread 116667.

PAWN RIOT has elected to play on and has moved 39. Re8+.

Kh7 please, don't tell me this was unexcepted.

I agree, as per our previous discussion, 39...Kh7, seeing if he wants to repeat the position

Does anyone has any objection to that move., what about Kg7 ?

Kg7 fails to Re4 as posted before

My vote would be Kh7 and draw offer, i suspect he decline the draw in the hope we would error and play Kg7. When he sees we have seen the threat then he may well concede a draw.

I would recommend also saying why we are offering a draw two moves running, as it may seem a little rude if not.

i just cost me two good games, one fo them, I was playing for the draw, but sudddenly tried to play for the win and blundered. and the others, I think too fast, not even thinking about using my king..... Kf1, Kg2 Kf2...

So, no surprise I did not see it back then.
Sometimes, I just wished I could use engines, for a a little while.. one game. but no.

Kh7, there is no Nf5 check...

That get my vote. If we could Kxf7 that would get my vote. but that is our pawn.

So 39...Kg7 40 Re4 Nxf3 41 Kb3 Nd2+ 42 Kxa4 Nxe4

is what you are proposing - I'll have to have a look at that

will tally the vote soon and send unless there is more action in this thread soon - but 39...Kh7 seems like the only sensible move of the two
