A great feature, but it looks like there might be a lot of entries that won't work when you make a posting. I wonder if Russ could add some kind of "pgn test feature" where we could test a pgn before making the post.

Is there a way to load a certain position - fen and pgn?

Very nice but how do you add annotations?

I'm sure he'll fix the parser and it'll work fine. little snags like these are almost impossible to catch before you throw real world at the code.

to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe
trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is
winning."

yay us! 🙂

still, it's a great addition.

Yes, I mean both. How does one load a set position with pgn? I tried in another thread and all I got was 'invalid pgn.'

Similar to the restrictions with FEN, I don't suppose it would be possible to post two PGN simoltaneously?

Edit: Indeed, it isn't possible. For those of you interested, take a look at what I actually posted here (via Reply and Quote) to see the evidence.

I should now have resolved a lot of the problems encountered in the early posts in this thread, so if the PGN is good, this should not be necessary.

It would be nice if one could move the pieces around, or a link to an analysis board.

Edit: Much appreciated, by the way.

This is very much a V1.0, so if popular, it will be expanded.

It's an absolutely superb feature, and can only improve Only Chess. Thanks.

Features that are needed are the ability to display annotations, multiple lines and the ability to move pieces about (ie: generate new, temporarily remembered lines).

Check out how chesspad works.
