At the moment I am playing a very frustatingly drawn ending against a guy called red manc, I have a Rook and a King he is left with only a king and he has insisted many times that I cannot win and he keeps offering me draws! Will somebody please help me in publically humiliating this naive dimwit!

EDIT: Oops, didn't see that he had resigned, thought it was an accepted draw. Anyway, the method above would have been slightly quicker.

You probably will but it was not the quickest way and there are good reasons why he feels it is worth his while to play on which I will tell you once the game is over.
The way you were closing in on him gave him some reason to hope that could happen. You had quicker and easier ways of mating that would have shaved a move or 2 off. Remember Rooks work better at a distance.
