Not sure. Because I don`t see how white can get some advantage, if black know how to play. I have used this line against stronger players which have played this opening regulary. And I have no reason to complain about opening.

This game clearly wasn't lost because of the opening - nor was it won because of it either, of course.
You didn`t lose due to your opening choice itself, but due your overrating of white`s position which led you to 14.d4. From opening I got solid position with equality - what else positional player can wish against KG?

Did White resign or timeout in this game?

I don't actually think that 14.d4 is an error, I think it's fine, perhaps a little dubious, but certainly not what cost me the game IMO - and I didn't play it based on overrating white's position.

Your evaluation of 14.d4 shows that you are too optimistic.

I see Cludi faired a little better than me. 🙂 Although that's not too surprising because he seems far superior to me with both the KG and chess in general. 😉

Looks like it followed our game until 13.h3, which I have to assume is superior since it worked out better for white, but what does white do after 13...Bh5?

    after 13...Bh5 white could play 14.g4 Bg6 15.Nxe5.

upd. It is not so simple - after 15..Qd6 black seems to get good position so white must not hurry with 15.Nxe5 and play something like 15.Qe2. But anyway I dislike bishop on g6

Hm, I was considering opening the white king up with 13...Bh5 14.g4 Bxg4 15.hxg4 Nxg4, probably not completely sound, but it's the type of sacrifice that I'd be willing to play in a lot of situations.

That sacrifice seems like very unsound.

Yeah, I didn't consider 15...Qd6 but black seems to get play there, and I'd be a little hesistant to allow white to double up on the half open f file, so I'd be pretty keen to play 13...Bh5.

Rybka rates this line as equal and recommends 15...Qd6 instead of 15...Qe7 (after Qe7 Rybka rates position as equal too), but anyway - I would prefer to play that line as white.
