Is it normal when you start to work on your chess game and attempt to absorb new theory/ideas as well as hit the tactics hard that the first thing you notice is your chess play crashes out? Or is it more of a sign of trying to do to much too fast and simple burn out?

    Thanks for your input.

    Don't get me started. 🙂
Suffice it to say, yes, for me anyway, it's normal to try out new ideas and concepts and fail. Keep at it, learn the mechanics of failure and you will see the path to winning. Remember, it is up to you, not some GM who wrote a book, to win the game. You're on your own, others can only offer their ideas, expertise and help.
