I want to post a game where I can show a position and the subsequent outcome.

The start doesn't matter. Just a position and the subsequent play.

You could try the FAQ section. They have a section on that. Something to do with FEN. I'm embarrassed to say I've not been able to decipher it. 🙁

Ya I'm not a code breaker...

FAQ is like chicken noodle soup but everyone knows the chicken is just on the label.

Go to this page:
https://www.redhotpawn.com/chess/chess-fen-viewer.php

Click "wipe board"
Set up the pieces and the correct side to move
Copy the text directly above the board - it will look something like this:
rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - 0 1

Create a post with tags as follows:

[ pgn ]
[FEN "<string you copied>"]
<algebraic notation>
[ /pgn ]

(Be sure to remove the spaces inside the brackets for the tags to actually work.)

1. O-O-O

With the spaces inside the brackets removed, this becomes:
