I saw that but I failed to notice that the rook blocks blacks bishop when it goes to check the king! BEAUTIFUL! 😀

No the bishop on h7 is hitting the rook on b1, and after Bc2 disc. check the bishop no longer covers c4 so there is no mate in one.

1. Qxf7 Bxb1 2. Qc4# looks like it to me. If 1. Qxf7 Rf4 2. Bc4 is double checkmate.

Edit: black has 1. ... Kb4 and so this isn't going to work.
In case you didn't notice, a Rook can't move from g3 to f4.

Here's another puzzle (more like a brainteaser)

Place the black king on the board so white can mate in three moves.

HINT: This problem is a helpmate...

[fen]8/8/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/RNBQKBNR w - - 0 1[/fen]
This isn't really a helpmate. After the King is placed, White is supposed to mate Black by force.

Place bKh4, then 1.d4!

Doesn't make sense to me. That 1. ... f4 is an illegal move. The black pawn can't make the f4 move..... try again.
Sorry...meant 1. ... f5

Well done, my friend. I must confess that when ilywrin gave this puzzle to me, I wasn't able to solve it! But after he told me the solution, I was really amazed at how simple it is! In fact, I think that's the beauty of the puzzle... for being so simple and yet so difficult.

Now try another one, again from my pal, ilywrin. He is apparently a chess puzzle addict! Now he has infected me!

White mates in 2.

My mistake. I'm used to puzzles where white mates instead of black. What I meant was that black's bishop checks on g1 and then the sequence as I've shown. But the notations that I showed were reversed. Otherwise the sequence for the mate in four are correct. Sorry for the confusion.

I have sat here for nearly 15 minutes and every possiblity I imagine usually gets blocked by the knights or it takes more than two moves...mind giving a hint?

Finally, I figured it out, or so I think...

1. Qe7 (black plays any move)
2. Ne4++
