Hi.
This must be the game in question.
Game 5205055
Beween moves 30 & 34 you missed a mate in two.
I may be specualting here. I think Russ plays over every game and
if you miss a mate in 2 but then go onto win. The rating point are
not awarded.
Find the missed mate in two - post it - and see what happens. 😉
Originally posted by tangerinefishIf you're talking about the game you won against filanbill, your rating at the start of game was 918 (not 929); his was 1056 (not 969). Your rating after winning was 929; his was 996 (not 969). So, you gained 11 points. He lost a bushel. But he's a provisional player, so you didn't win as many points as you otherwise would have, and he lost more than he otherwise would have.
why did i not get any points for winning a game, when my opponent was 969, and i was 929
Click on your own username, and you will see a graph showing your last 117 games. Move the mouse arrow until it sits on the very last column in this graph, and then (without moving your mouse) look directly under the header "Last 117 Games" and you will see four pieces of information: (1) the game ID number; (2) "player" (your) rating at start of game; (3) "opponent's" rating at start of game; and (4) "game date" (the date the game finished).
These four fields will change as you move your mouse arrow over each column in the graph, since each column represents an individual game.
Now, with the mouse arrow on the last column again, left-click once and you will see the game, including your *current* rating and your opponent's *current* rating. Note that if your opponent finished more games subsequent to yours, his current rating may not be the same as his rating after your game. (To get that, click on HIS name and check HIS graph for the same game.) In this case, it is the same because he hasn't (as of this posting) finished any more games since you two played (and neither have you, so your current rating is the same (929) as it became after finishing the game with him).
