The move that surprised me was white's a3, when he could have developed the K-side by Nf3.
Yes there are quite a few errors by white in this game. I think my opponent was either not familiar with the general strategy of playing opposite side castling or simply forgot that my main idea is naturally going to be a pawn expansion on the queenside. 12.Bxe5 is a mistake i feel, white should regroup and play 12.Be2. Exchanging his black bishop for a knight leaves the black squares horribly weak around his King. Also 13.Bc4 is a horrible move, just inviting 13..b5. The game is effectively lost at that point..
