Ahh...the Ruy Lopez...so strategically rich...hell no way I'm ever touching that (unless I ever break 2000), and neither do a whole lot of class players. Have you ever heard of a Lopez Archangel game between two Class A or B players?

the King's Indian (Defense) is used at all levels; at all tournaments I've been to, I've never seen anyone under Class A use the Nimzo or Queens Indian.

You still play the french advance variation far differently than anyone else I have met. It's always fun looking up a few of your games for some off the wall ideas.
