I don't have a righteous chess set to myself and was wondering if someone could link me to something towards my price range...I was hoping to spend no more then $150 for the moment. I dont really have that much cash so I'd like to be a bit thrifty for my first real set.
However, I am rather particular about what is displayed in my home (hence the problem of finding something in that price range...). I would like a wood set that is weighted (how much I can't say really, just enough to be not flimsy I guess...). I don't know what it is called but I like the sets with the knight that has the head lowered and looks rather more menacing. But I don't like the split top bishops...I have seen that these two usually go together, but that may be a newbie misconception. I don't know if I want ebonized or not, I guess that all depends on the entire look. (I plan to have it displayed when not in use hence the pickiness...)
I have looked at amazon and and pretty much all of the sites that google gives you when you search 'chess.'
$150 (US) isnt really firm, but a good median I guess. (Have I used enough parenthesis during this post?) LOL.
TIA I could really use a bit o help here.
Any help would truly be appreciated really.

Scroll down to the bottom for the less expensive sets. None of these include boards by the way, but they also offer some relatively inexpensive boards.
