in a chess competetion i joined, two players discussed the promotion of a pawn will always be a queen, that why they called it a queeening pawn, they said you will chose a queen over anything coz queen is the most powerful.

but for me its up tp you what will you going to use, or what will be more helpfull in defeating your opponets.

Fortunately, opinions are irrelevant here. The rules state,

"When a pawn reaches the rank furthest from its starting position it must be exchanged as part of the same move for a new queen, rook, bishop or knight of the same colour. The player`s choice is not restricted to pieces that have been captured previously. This exchange of a pawn for another piece is called `promotion` and the effect of the new piece is immediate."

FIDE Handbook, rule 3.7e http://www.fide.com/official/handbook.asp?level=EE101

Consider the following position

With white to move, the pawn may advance and become a queen, but that would be a serious error. The correct move g8=N wins instantly.
