That's what I thought, if they pushed the pawn I would have resigned. Well, they didn't so 😀.

I'd love to know white's thought process in resigning that position. As mentioned, a4! should probably win, but even if he doesn't see that, axb4 should at least draw!

A more interesting question might be, could black have won if he/she hadn't played b4?


In looking at and moving the pieces around a bit, I think yes.

Ke4 seems like the best repsonse.

I was looking at

Ke4 c4

Then if f5...Kg5


And if Kd4 or Ke3....h4.


I think on Kf2 h4

Yes...no problem...it is much harder to analyze someone else's game when you only look at it for a few minutes. I do it all of the time.
