i have found a couple of times recently, when logging on to rhp, that there is a new random challenge sitting in 'my games'; most of the time this is fine and i accept. However, on the noted occasions the 'timebank' for these random challenges has been 0 and 'move timeout' 1 day.

what worries me is that when i check 'my games' the clock for these games is already ticking and the first move has been made; does that mean that the challenger may claim the win if i happen to not log in within the 1 day timeout setting?

if so, should we have a precaution of accepting games before they start? maybe, just use black's move as confirmation of a game's beginning?

maybe something like this is already in place: just asking as i am not sure myself

anyone had this happen to them?

I'm not sure myself, that's why I set my challenge settings to a 21 day timeout.

I'm not sure either, but even if they did it wouldnt affect your rating. You have to make 2 or 3 moves before the game is considered long enough to adjust them.

Unitl the first three moves have been made, I don't think they can skull you. they can only trash the game.
