sometimes random games just show up....with me to move...

i figure someone is challenging me...but where are they picking me and why?

I picked you once. It was early days, my picking technique was:
find all players between rating X and rating Y who are online now;
pick an interesting-looking name and check not playing a zillion games;
challenge player

It worked about 80% of the time and I gradually built up a pool of regular opponents. Now I don't need to use it anymore.

Perhaps there are a few of these systems around.😴

I usually stick to open invites, or post a new game. I never accept challenges. I also just started tournaments, and formed a clan. I figure there is enough variety that way; I don't need random people challenging me😠
