Do your rankings increase more if you beat players that are say 1500 as opposed to 1200.

the answer may be more complicated. your ranking increases if your rating increases. and it's your rating which increases more if you beat higher rated players. (the higher the better). however, you still get a +1 score every time you win, that doesn't change whatever the rating of your opponent is.

in a tournament for example, it's the score which determines your ranking, so in that situation, no, the rating of your opponents do not change your ranking. in a non-tournament pool like RHP however, it does make a difference.

Yes - the faq explains the maths behind it - but it's calculated in a different way for players who have completed less than 20 games and still have a p by their name.
