I suppose the problem is also when you get the extra 1200 points added 'into the mix' theres now also another person to split the points between.

Ill agree with that. If that 1200 becomes a 2000 those points dissappears right? Now we will haft to wait for another 1200 point player.

I agree that the more players there are on the site, the higher potential there is for ratings. Take the extremes for example: if there are only two players how high can one players rating go?

True so I guess the reason why the ratings have stopped climbing so much is because there isnt enough people on the site.

I play mostly tournament and clan matches, both give paired games (one as black and one as white).
