I am finding that the Waitzkin Interactive lessons and annotated games on the CM v10 disks to be my most effective learning device. Can folks recommend other, similarly effective interactive CDs for learning all phases of the game? I would appreciate info on best place to get any of the recos. (I have not found any ideas in searching the forums, hence my request for info.)

Thanks

I recommend CT-Art. I'm told that the fastest way to improve is to work on tactics. CT-Art is great for working on tactics. I think you can pick it up for about $25. Try amazon.com or chesscentral.com.

Convekta's CT-Art yes but I would start with Convekta's Chess Tactics for Beginners, and Chess Tactics for Intermediate Players.
My coach is insisting on a 90% or greater success rate in Beginners Tactics before I can look at CT-Art and Intermediate Tactics.

The Beginners Tactics is about a 3-6 month adventure if you do some every day. And it feels much more advanced then the title suggests.
I find it quite hard actually.

I am at a 94% success rate right now (on my second try) and have one level left (about a month ) before I go to CT-Art and the other cd.

Great Suggestions....Thanks.

I would have thought there were more. The ChessMaster lessons, etc are quite a value it seems, esp if there is little competition.
