I is for ilywrin. A nice finish, with ilywrin losing the battle to queen the pawn, but winning the war by promoting with check. 🙂

    J is for Jirakon.

He composes some very nice proof games. I taught him everything he knows, heh heh heh.

Position after Black's 23rd move. How did the game go?

    Solution:

Double N grab and wK journey. For those new to this problem type, ALL moves must be forced - no transpositions, no alternate paths! Try and appreciate the composing skill it takes to make something like this happen...

    K is for Kewpie!

Here's a cool game from our very own Kewpie! I chose this one because it has a pretty neat middle-of-the-board mate right in the middlegame.

    A 17 move miniature against a nominally higher-rated opponent!

    L is for Lundos.

White's king is so exposed that even a free piece doesn't help him.
