Why won't the messaging syetem work when everything else is fine? My opponents send me comments and I can't reply. denying them the obvious benefits of my erudition. Anyone got an idea?

something similar happens to me:
games just freezing at any point of time during a game.
same deal happened at uChess when I was there...
it's annoying when the game freezes one move in, or worse, just before a 1 move mate!

white to move, I'm black, game froze...
who's winning here?

Quite happy with this one against a decent opponent, playing his pet opening, which I didn't know (but managed to figure out the mainline until move 10) who has been rated 1740 before, and who has beaten a player rated in the 1900s. Because I didn't really know the opening, I used about 2/3 of my time to get to about move 13.

It brought home to me how important tactics are in chess.

Kaworukum has a good move, I think you must be lost after that, deppends on how much time you and your opponent have.

Edit: after checking the game with fritz9 it is mostly a draw, so nobody is wining at this moment.

I supose black is a pawn up even though he is an exchange down. I think two humans playing each other is a diffrent matter though, to what the computer thinks.

Yes and also taking in consideration the time they have left.

It seems that both Uchess and RHP Blitz are back up. What exactly is the relationship between these two sites? Are they maintained by the same person? The software cetainly seems similar and suffers from some of the same bugs (but it has more features).

Uchess also seems far more developed. Some of the features I asked about here are already implemented. It also has ratings which is cool. Would a subscription to RHP also cover Uchess?
