Hi Ponderable,
It's just the way it works.
You try to solve the puzzle then play out the game to see if you are right (or wrong.)
That way the solver sees the build up to the critical position which is often the hardest part of all.
I may just give a game and say 'somehere in there one side can win a piece.'
Actually I like that idea - look out for puzzle #2.
