I think that the possible tactics server should have something new or different from emerald.com. What is the point if we just copy the same thing? Yes, there will be our games instead of random positions, but it is not worth the effort. Also there is also the risk of being familiar with some of the games, which reduses the effectiveness of the system.

Especially if it were to be open to non-subscribers and had ads displayed for them - and that's revenue for the site.
Familiarity with games/situations, I don't see that as being a serious reason not to consider it.

seeing tactics on this site and having users gain fermiliarity with other games on this site... (how many posts are in the "mate in under 20" type thread, its all because they want to show off games)
it could go something like this.. the board shows up with the puzzle, then when they solve it the 2 names of the players pop and it its says if it was a tourney game, clan league game etc.
and youre right, more people would sub
