i'm sitting here waiting for opponents to move...and thought it would be fun to blast through tactics while i waited...

yes i know i can go to other sites etc etc...

About 1500 is all. It is tough to look at a position cold, and come up with a move or combo quickly.

yep, draws are always difficult to spot. first you have to search the position for winning tactics, realize there isn't any, and only THEN find the correct way to draw.

I think that could work -- get people to submit the positions from their games as fen and also, the analysis (moves & comments)

then you get a bunch of mods (high rating, obvoiusally so as to ensure anti-computer tactics are not missed by a computer!) to check (and if necceassy correct) analysis......then you let people just surf through them....

this could have the advantage over CTS becuase you would have verbal comments explaining the moves.

that would certainly be an interesting feature.

However, that seems like a lot of work to do, and so it seems it would be a sub only feature (though being the non sub that I am, requiring a subscription to rhp for tactics server only seems fair

Black could walk away from this up 3 pawns and down a bishop, with better pawn structure. Does Black have a fighting chance?
