Nxd2 (3); I've found 1 game in the last 100 or so years with Qxd2!

Nxd2. (4)
I have Qxd2 played in 1994 and 1996 (win and draw) and 5 times in the 19th Century for a total score of 21%.
I have Nxd2 played in 1994 (draw) and 11 times in the 19th Century for a total score of 42%.
I prefer Nxd2 because it's forcing.

The Chessbase database has 41 games of Nxd2 with about even results. Modern Chess Openings (14th edition) as the Nxd2 line on page 109, column 21 and says "the column is Botterill-Staples, Manchester 1974, where White has enough compensation for the pawn."

Nxd4(5) Looks more forcing, plus it may be good on f3 later
