Since Grayeyes will be unable to see the forums for a while (an excessive while in my view), he has asked me to take over the vote for move 10. The position is:

The suggestions are:

g3
c4
Re1
Bf3
Nc4

Invalid FEN inserted - 845365

HMM, our fen feature seems to be on the "fritz" such as it were. The game link (hope that still works) is: Game 845365

My vote: g3 (1)

Re1, there is no need to break castle with g3.

Hi. I would have to agree azzazello. Unless I am missing somthing that the higher rated players arn't (quite possible) I see no reason to disrupt the castled pawn formation. Why give fritz an open invitation to attack when we know it is amazing strong in this area? I think we should play Re1 (2) to seize the open file next to blacks uncastled king once the bishop has moved? If this is horriblt wrong it means I dont understand the position at all so please explain!

Thanks

The discussions about why certain moves should or should not be chosen is in the RHP'ers vs Fritz8: The Game :-) thread:

http://www.redhotpawn.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=17658

The discussion begins on page 14 in flexmore's post (the fifth one down). There are good reasons why g3 has been suggested there. Let's keep debate about the moves in that thread ok?
