Lets see how will I play. Haven`t played OTB chess almost for year, but on the other hand Playchess and RHP could help me not to lose OTB form πŸ™‚

I'd love to play, but, hey, 35 LVL is pretty expensive. And can it really be FIDE rated? As much as I know Latvia has problems with FIDE and therefore no Latvians are in the FIDE list anymore. Or have they (the problems) been solved and I've missed that?

The problems indeed existed in April or so, when Latvia as well as Argentina for example were excluded off the FIDE list. Later Latvian players got back there, so I think there are no problems anymore.
I'm now working out a decision whether to play or not. I've never played OTB officially, though my fide rating could be no less than 2000 I believe. Furthermore, the building where the event takes place is only about 0.5 km far from my homeπŸ™‚

Actually as I know him I can say that he is not tend to be too self-confident. From his playchess games I can say that his OTB level is about 2000-2100.

Holy S*****!!! I`ve only now noticed that organisers have changed place of tournament - its hotel "Tomo" in Riga, Raunas iela 44.

I`m afraid that many foreigners may miss these changes if they will not be personally informed πŸ™

greenpawn - I`ve noticed among participants also FM Neil Berry from Scotland - If you know him then please inform him somehow......
