Jogging also helps. Blood circulation is important. The better your blood circulates, the less dizzy you become after hours of playing.

Yes - any physical activities (which i lack) should help.

That's a bad one. I've blundered a piece twice in serious OTB play
by auto-castling. One I manged to turn around and win.
The other was likes yours, no hope at all of doing anything.

I would not blame C.C. too much. but I will say perhaps you should
cut out the bullet chess. This stuff wrecks your OTB discipline.

So that's two crates of beer you owe me.
One 'cos I got the first double Rook sac in.
And one as a bribe not to show it on The Corner 😉

I dont think that bullet chess affects my psysical stamina which is main reason of my bad result.

Well, if you live in Riga, there really is no place to jog. But I think swimming is pretty good, which you can do after work, in the evening for an hour or two. The OSC is a very good place. They have a nice 50m pool. I don't know anything about the prices but my cousin with his girlfriend are going swimming there two or three times a week and they say it's pretty good there.

EDIT: Well, actually there are places for jogging, but swimming is also very good, and much more comfortable during our now rainy winters.

Well cheer up mate, we all have a bad tournament.

Don't start listening to the these health freaks, they will have
you eating lettuce and chanting the mantra.

Lot's of chocolate ice cream and a fag or two before the game.
That's what does it for me.

Oh, this is preposterous! Chanting the mantra really helps!

On a more serious note, a bottle of light beer an hour before the game actually helps.

I drink a protein shake before I start playing each day and I do 50 pushups and 50 sit ups before each game.... It works pretty good.

There is only one cure - you will have to play some blitz against me.

I think that doing massive blitz sessions for several hours at a time can give you the stamina needed to do well in a chess match - I sometimes play so much blitz that I feel like I have a hangover without being drunk, just because it has been so many hours since I moved out of the chair.
