Kind of proud of this game. Some may pick it apart and see how much I suck but I enjoyed it and my opponent and I are 1 and 1.

An entertaining game... But where was the rook sac that we were promised in the thread title? You sacked some pawns, a bishop and a couple of knights, but no rooks!

But it was a fun game 🙂

The rook move at then end could be considered a sac.

But it's mate next turn.

I liked the bishop one better.

I guess I was considering the one at the end a sac. More of a mating move I guess. I figured he'd trade queens and I'd be down a pawn or two. Then when I played the bishop check I thought he'd move his king and I could take his queen and try to set up a mate depending on his next move. Something like moving my bishop down attacking the "a" rook and checking with mine and possibly checking with my queen after that and take his other rook. I dunno though. Sometimes I see these great moves but only if my opponent plays along. I forget they are going to be making the best move or I'll only look at a couple of variations missing the best for him heh.

Yeah, you definitely want to try to work out all of the critical variations - ESPECIALLY in a sacrifice type situation:

Game 2233163

Game 2277433

, then again sometimes you just can't and you have to play based on how you feel about it or based on ideas and themes...

Game 2943488

Game 2668638 - This one's technically not that accurate - appx. = after the sac.
