when the game is finished you will find many people happy to comment.
you should do what you want to do.

you should not be asking others.
it is not fair on your opponent.
deciding whether to draw, or play on, is just as important as which move to make.
how would you feel if Meio asked King Dantes what moves to make?

good luck with the game :-)

In my exerience, in a team event ( OTB ), a player may consult the captain or manager to see if he/she should accept an offer of a draw. This does not mean that the captain or manager is allowed to assist the player, they are telling the player whether or not a draw is acceptable in the team/match situation.

But a general post asking everyone if he/she should take a draw is tantamount to cheating.

In correspondance chess, it is my understanding that asking or receiving any advice regading an on-going game, whether it is about a move or a game decision such as whether to accept a draw, is against the rules.

Well, I am playing 2 games with you, in trust that you are not breaking the rules, Even if you consult some one and win. It will not improve your chess in any way.

Correspondence chess is about trust that my opponent is not using the Fritz or CM engine from his computer.

You would know if you did it, and it would be up to you to sleep at night. 😲

A game based on trust means nothing if someone breaks the rules. People are actually able to abide by the rules and play a good honest game.

Some people don't. You are better than them, right!?

It was an honest mistake to talk about a game going on, so don't worry about it... just keep in mind each game is special and their for you to mold into a terrific masterpiece, or horrible tragedy. Both are great fun!

Crocodile tears more like. Still boring, irritation level rising.
