...involving chess pieces on a chess board!
Incidently, I still get ...Qc7 played against me on a regular basis, even though it was virtually refuted in the 1960's. Even a Master played it against me one time- I ended up a piece but drew due to a perpetual.

Yes, I've seen that trap before, I bet you weren't the first one to play it. What happens after 8. Ke1?
This PGN could not be parsed.
- line 1: Unrecognised token 'N+'
- move 23 could not be played: Invalid PGN : Error converting move Ke3
1.d4 d5 2.c4 e5 3.dxe5 d4 4.e3 Bb4+ 5.Bd2 dxe3 6.Bxb4 exf2+ 7.Ke2 fxg1N+ 8.Ke1 Qh4+ 9.Kd2 Nc6 10.Bc3 Bg4 11.Qc1 0-0-0+ 12.Ke3 Qg5+
after 8.Ke1 black should not trade queens, this leads to nothing, strongest move is 8...Qh4+ and
if g3 then Qe4 and the rook hangs, therefore after 8...Qh4 + the white king marches
into the centre, 9.Ke2 Nc6 and the bishop on b4 is under attack, 10.Bc3 Bg4 attacking queen and
bringing bishop into the game and the game is over, for black not only has
an extra piece but a mating attack, after 10.Qc1 0-0-0+, 11.Ke3 Qg5 and game is over
i think the idea was discovered by Lasker.
i myself have now given up on all main lines and will now try only to play gambits!
if anyone knows of a good gambit verses the pirc i would be most glad!
