I just played this game on ICC, thought some of you might enjoy this game. I can't really find any line that refutes this queen sac, but I could be missing something stupid. Pretty good play if I do say so myself for a 5 0 game.

BTW:Center game!?
Originally posted by cmsMasterHaha, F9 agrees!? And heck yes center game. Check out the games Shabalov-Ivanov and Shabalov-Shliperman. Both are annotated in Larry C's "Rocking the Ramparts" (AMAZING BOOK) and he gives some analysis of the opening. Seems to me like it's one of those interesting openings that most Black players don't know about, but it's not boring at either. White almost always castles long and starts attacking!

Here is another blitz game I played recently:
1. e4 e5 2. d4 exd4 3. Qxd4 Nc6 4. Qe3 Nf6 5. Nc3 Bb4 6. Bd2 O-O 7. O-O-O Re8 8. Qg3 Nxe4 9. Nxe4 Rxe4 10. c3 Bf8 11. Bd3 Re8 12. Nf3 d5 13. Rde1 Be6 14. Ng5 h6? 15. Bh7+! Kh8 16. Rxe6!!
My idea is that hxg5 Qh3! g4 Qh5 basically forces mate.
Qxg5 17. Bxg5 Rxe6 18. Bf5 and white is completely winning. The sac of the e-pawn is an interesting way to play in this position as Blacks f6 knight is traded off and White has a pretty big lead in development. As you can see he can even afford to trade rooks because afterwards he has an insanely strong position. 14..g6 was better, but you know it's not good if you have to play that move.
Here's a nice tactic that won me a recent game.
My opponent has just played 0. ... f6.
1. Bf4 Bxf4?? 2. d6+ +- Distraction causing a discovered check and queen attack.
I couldn't resist the chance to set the trap with Bf4 and he stepped right in. It helped that the bishop and pawn combination had been sitting there for almost the entire game and at that point it's easy to miss tactics they bring about.
