Only Chess

Nazi Paikidze-Barnes, the US women's champion, has posted a petition on change.org to ask FIDE to either move the 2017 women's world championship from Iran or allow women at the world championship to not wear hijab and be allowed to speak against the requirements for women in Iran to have to wear hijab. Though Paikidze qualified for the event, she will not attend. Please join me in signing this petition and fighting against women's oppression in Iran.
